Baseball

Some 1986 Magic

This is a brief clip from Game Six of the 1986 World Series. I had a ticket for this historic event, but I gave it away to a Newsday colleague, because I figured only two things could happen. One of them was really bad: A loss would send the Mets home for a long, bitter winter. The other was only moderately good: They'd live to play Game Seven. So I stayed home and missed one of the great World Series games ever. But I did attend Game Seven, with my sister Kathy, and the Mets won it all.
